Strange...I've been in San Diego for over a year, and have yet to experience an earthquake...the only one I've felt was back in Toronto, Ontario Canada...it was centered in Pennsylvania, but felt in Whitby, where I lived at the time. I was at my desk and it felt like a subway train going by. Only for a couple of seconds...

California raised all way, been in too many earthquakes to count over the past 21 years. I still rather go through an earthqauke then a tornado or a flood.

Oh yeah, I'm fine....it was weird though. Here on the third floor of our office building, we felt it a little longer than on the ground. It left me with a slight queasy feeling. I guess that's from sitting in my cubicle and feeling the rocking motion for 30-40 seconds or maybe more. I had time to call my Dad and chat with him about it as we were still moving. That's my third quake...I'm still a newbie. Dad grew up in L.A. and thought it was pretty funny. He's felt his share of bigger ones!

I'm still at work, but will check the garage when I get home.
I hope our flimsy, old, unstable garage is still standing! It gets demolished in a few months when we get ready to break ground for our new and improved one.

A funny little side-note. I took my little pocket radio into the bathroom this morning to listen to something while I showered. I set it on top of some large vitamin bottles in the opening that will be our medicine cabinet someday.
A fleeting thought I had as I was walking out the door was "I better take that radio down in case we have an earthquake". Then I went "Naaaaaahhhhh, what's the chance of that happening today?", and left the house.

Weeeellllll..........I supposed I'll get home today and find my little radio has tumbled to the tile floor.

Hope all you people south of the 49th in Washington are OK. I felt it up here in the Fraser Valley which is about 100 miles north of Seattle. It was very strong here, everything swaying back and forth so I can imagine how it was in Seattle area. No damage in Vancouver unlike Seattle. Take care of yourselves; Chris.

WOW! It is good to hear from our Oregon and Washington contingent. Sounds like it was a fairly strong quake!
