To void the warranty on a buddy's Z29 from Mecham! Guy bought the 2000 Z28 from an AZ dealer and had Mecham do an upgrade. All they did was the hood, PCM and 3:73 gears! The other day he had 0 PSI oil pressure. Had car taken to a local Chevy dealer! They want to void his warranty! There reason is the changing of the gear from 3:42 to 3:73. They claim these gears can cause the oil pump to malfunction!!! What a load of CRAP!!! Mecham and the AZ dealer called these folks and so far they are not budging!! You ever heard of this??? Needless to say he is one sick puppy

There are soooo many dealers out there. It may be worth his while to shop a radius of 100 miles to see if another one will help him out.
Look on SEMA's website for an article about warranty rights. I can't remember what it's called so maybe someone else will have the link.
