Hey guys and girls, I just registered because I am most likely picking up an SS this week. The car I am buying is a '99 Hugger Orange SS that has the following options: Factory loaded with ASR, Hard Top, MN6 w/Hurst and White Leather. It has no SLP options.

I have already found out that it is 1 of only 54 H.O. hard top MN6. I want to find out how many of these 54 came with the Hurst, and/or ASR, and/or White leather??
Is there anywhere I can locate this information? Any help would be really appreciated. I can't believe I found this car, and it only has 2566 miles on it, it's incredible. I will find out tomorrow if I am definitely buying this car, so I am sure I will be around here more often.
Thanks again.
JeffR

try a search on production numbers, I know there is a post around here somewhere with all the info. Good luck with the info and with the car!

You might also try posting on SLP's Message Board. They should be able to get you the info but they are kind of slow sometimes. Better yet, you could call them directly. Check out their site at SLP

Hey Jeff, glad to see you are registered here now

Guys, this is one of my best friends and he will have a Hugger SS like me. So there will be two Hugger Orange SS's terrorizing Phoenix now

I can't believe this car either, it's BRAND NEW! You can't even tell it's been on the road execpt for the 2500 miles. It's a great deal!!!! We'll get some pics as soon as he picks it up this week!

Thanks guys, I did try the SLP board and that is where I found out it is 1 of 54 produced. I just couldn't find anything on the interior colors or shifter option. I thought maybe someone had created a site like that one for the Firehawks that used to be on the old SLP board. I guess I just need to keep searching.

As for 2 Hugger SS "terrorizing" Phoenix, I think Scott's will be the only one doing that considering mine will have to remain stock for quite some time. It will be cool having 2 around though. Let's hope everything goes smoothly from now until I can hopefully pick up the car!

Still haven't been able to find how many Hugger SS Hard Tops had white leather, and ideas or leads on where to look? Doesn't the SSOA have a list of memebers cars and options? Maybe I could find out how many Hugger SS Hard Tops are registered with the SSOA? That would give me a little start. Thanks again for any ideas.

Cool, I guess I can't join the SSOA until I actually pick up the car, can I. I should have the car either this weekend or monday,so I will be joining shortly. I do know that it is '99 SS #3965, H.O. Hard top, white leather, 6spd Hurst, Base SS pkg. Let me know what I will need to do to join the SSOA. Thanks very much.

You can fill out your SSOA application and send it in if you know the VIN. By the time you get your SS, your first SSOA packet will be in the mail to you.

Then you can wait for the second package when your car will be a collectors item. Ha ha!! Sorry Teri, just had to. Just joking.

Surely one of us can look at the database and see if there are any other HO hardtops. Oh, I guess I could, couldn't I? Ok, I will. Be back in a few.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Do any of those 6 Hugger Hard Tops have white leather and 6 speed? Where do I go to fill out the SSOA application? I have all the info on the car including the VIN so I shouldn't have a problem filling anything out. It looks like I will be picking up the car wednesday. It is taking so long because we are getting the money from Nevada, I am in Phoenix, and the car is in Tucson. So the bank has to send us the paperwork, we sign, go to Tucson the seller signs, we send it back, they send the check. What a hassle, and boy has this entire purchase pissed off my wife. I had to agree to let her get a cat so I can get this car. Not only do I hate cats, but I am alergic to them. Oh well, the price we pay to have the toys we want.

I will be filling out that SSOA app. very soon. Thanks again for the info!
