So, what's the conclusion? Did the 2001 improvments (mainly the cam change)improve performance?

YES .....and the EGR delete helped also and the the fact that the f-body now has the LS6 intake.....to sum it up ...morebetter stuff to start YOUR mods with.

From what I hear, they did the cam change to keep the hp gain from the Z06 intake down to 5hp. I just bet the new intake would have given the SS more power than the non-Z06 Vettes if they'd left the original LS-1 cam in place. Can't have that now can we?
