I finally got my hatch fixed. I had the annoying sticky hatch. I read that by putting another stiffer spring along with the factory spring it would release. I did this this past weekend and BINGO it works everytime. It pops up almost to the point that the shocks will start to lift it up.. Here are some pics. They are kinda fuzzy though..

Glad that worked for you. I had the same type of problem with the trunk lid. 3 trips to the dealer, new struts, etc. didn't solve it.
The right answer for convertibles?? 1/4 turn counter-clockwise on the rubber bumpers

I tried the bumper things and that didn't work. I had the stops screwed all the way out . Guess it needed some extra umph!!....

Go to this link at install University. It is a quick fix. My friends SS had your same problem and this fixed it in 2 minutes flat.
