working. The button on the remote works fine but the one in the car doesn't work. Does anyone have any suggestions. I don't want to have to take it to the dealer if I can help it.

The hatch release on my old '82 Z28 quit working. Turns out one of the wires to the switch fell off. Plugged it back in, fixed.
I'm not sure how to do that in the newer cars, but I'd guess you have a switch wiring issue.
