There are 4 broken push rods.....what else is commonly broken?
NO, it's not our engine you sillies........
It's a 2000 or 2001 Corvette engine that some guy put 10K miles on and liked to drive around town in 2nd gear no matter what his speed (he liked the way it sounded).
Steve's going to to tear it apart tonight to see if it's something that's worth buying for $1500, and replacing the broken parts, to put in his '68 Camaro Coupe or a Mid-year ('63-'67) Corvette project.

What a moron!! that would make a sweet 1st/2nd gen camaro motor I havent ever seen any problems other then push rods but if your going into it yo umight as well at least hone the bores and slap in some new rings and a new oil pump as LS1's and oil pumps tend not to agree..
Teri, on a side note Im coming along on the photo album page (didn't realize how many SSOA members there are )
Also I fliped though your SS trailer pictures on photopoint boy that thing is cool!! looks awesome!!

Thanks!
Hey, we're adding more members each week....
The update on the engine that Steve went to look at is 3 broken pushrods and 4 bent valves. He's going over a parts list right now to see what it'll cost to upgrade it with LS6 parts......

It is astounding that people that stupid can make enough money to afford a car like that. I also find it strange that someone who is attracted to a performance car would be so uninformed as to how to drive.
Sometimes I think the process of natural selection is not working, if all of man kind were like that we would have become extinct in the stone age.

Depending by how much he overreved it.There is a pro football player that use to play for the Chicago Bears,he had a 99 Vette and overreved it. All the valves hit the piston tops, nice little half moon marks in the pistons. The guy fixing it said he took the engine to about 9000RPM. I saw it, it was a mess.

Well, this one wasn't so bad.
Steve figured out what it'll cost to do the LS6 upgrades and what the core charge is and settled on $1000 for the engine.
Now it'll have to sit until we get our construction done and then he'll put it in his '68. He said I could have it for my Chevelle, but I think I want to keep it a granny car and stock.
