Well now I can really sympathize with all of you who had a frustrating time installing Mike Cs' FRCs on a 2000+ SS, wholly s**t what a PIA. After cutting and trimming and trying for 5 hours yesterday, I'm still not done! Today I'll have to do a little more adjusting and I should finally have the drivers side in place. Just hope with all the pulling and pushing and getting caught on stuff that nothing is cut or broken!
This is one job I wish I had never started!

That sucks but it will be worth it when you are done.On my 99 SS I had to snip it in just two places and they popped on perfectly.

Same as Gary. Mine took about 1.2 hrs.
Now I'm getting ready to change plugs and wires, so they'll be coming off and going on again.
Hopefully, I can complete the whole job in under 4 hrs.

OK, what are you trying to do, make me feel worse?
From what I've read there is a HUGE difference between the 99 and 00s, as they say, this is not for the faint hearted!

Mine took me 30 minutes because of an accidental removal of the black cylinder thing on the drivers side, look in the pics section on my website to see finished pics and one showing the black thing at the rear of the drivers side that I removed from the bracket. It lifts STRAIGHT up and off the bracket that holds it, it will then float out of your way when you shove the cover back there. On the passenger side if you have ASR you have to put the cables on top, they won't fit under the cover. Hope this helps! Check the sig for my Z's web page.

Sure was a pain in the ass on my 2000 also. I bought Z06 covers so I had a little more trimming to do. Like Derek said, once you lift that module out of the way on the driver's side it get's a little easier. Sure cleans up the engine bay once there done. Jeff

Well, finally finished at about 4:30, they look good but lots of problems putting them on; Passenger side wire harness - cut 2" u shape in the back, dip stick - cut an additional 1" in the groove, throttle cables - come off of retainer bracket. Divers side cut 3" u shape for EGR module, 4" u shape for egr hose, 1" on the side for EGR tube, widen fuel line cutouts by 1/4 inch, remove plastic brackets holding wire harness and replace with tie wraps, wrap fuel rail end with tape so clip will hold, cut heat proof tape on fuel lines back to guage tap and move caution tape to the other side.
