It is about that time to replace my stock F1's. I want the best dry traction available without going to slicks or ET streets. My choices are Yokohama AVS Sports, BFG G-Force T/A's and Michelin Pilot Sports. Price is not a factor just dry traction. Wear is a factor but I am guessing they are all about the same. Wet traction is not much of a factor as well. Nitto's are hard to get in Canada and are expensive here..

Does anyone have any preferences and pictures of these tires on their car.
These tires are going on my 99 Silver SS..
Thanks everyone..

I have BFG KD's. They are excellent on the dry, terrible in the rain (I think, don't drive it much in the rain).

BFG g-Force KD's seem to be the choice (that's SLP' option and they claim possible improved 1/4 mile times).

Be sure to check Tire Rack pricing before you plunk down your hard earned cash. The difference can be HUGE!!

The last high perf tires I had on a Camaro were "gatorbacks" on my 3Gen IROC but I swear by the KD's...I've driven in the rain and they hold pretty well, although I don't push hard in the wet...I really don't think there's a lot of aquaplaning...I've got 10K on mine and so far so good for wear...but I'm taking care of them...it costs a ton O money to replace 'em!!! I'd love to try the SuperCar's though!

I have a chance to get either the yokohama's or g-force's for $300Cdn. I think that is pretty good deal... I can get you a set if you want.

Question: What do the Germans put on their most expensive, flagship high-performance vehicles (BMW M5s and Porsche 911 Series) when they can afford to choose any tire in the world?

Answer: Michelin Pilot Sports.

'Nuff said.

If that is $300 Canadian each for g-Force KD's (not KDW or KDWS) you can put me down for 4!! They're $270 U.S. at the Tire Rack.
