How much pressure should be used? Should the claying be done in a circular motion or side to side? I'll be using Z7 and water as a lubricant.

do small sections at a time to ensure it is sufficiently lubed. Go in the same direction as you would apply your polish.... up and down on the sides, front to back on the top.
you dont need to push hard at all, it just grabs the contaminants right out of the finish. just make sure the bar is clean (dont drop it on the ground!)
Z7 and water is fine.

Somebody suggested laying a towel on the ground in case you drop the clay bar.

be extra cautious on the hood and the rear deck, most have found that the paint there is not as hard as the rest of the car.

It is also better for the surface to be cool, out of the sun if at all possible.

Be prepared to spend some time doing it. I spent 5 hours when I did my car. I washed it, clayed it, washed it, dryed it, and then started over with the polish (Z1 and Z2). The car looked great when I was done. Posted by KevinA (Member # 139) on :

Clay the whole car then wash it off? It won't hurt it to clay the whole car then wash?
And for lubing it, just put water and zaino wash in a squirt bottle, squirt then clay?

I prefer to use Z6 as a lubricant. Yes, it's more expensive, but it saves time.
I lube, clay, wipe with a towel. I can then follow right behind with Z5 or Z2 without washing again. Time is $$
