I used a bottle of Z-1 that's kind of watery and it left streaks after the Z-2 was removed. The Z-2 came off fine, but the Z-1 left streaks basically of how it was applied. It was on for around 5 hours, so it was dry. Anyway, anyone know how I can get this off (btw, it's not on my SS, it's on my gf's 2001 cavalier)?
Also, anyone know of a Zaino distributor in Michigan?

I believe rubbing alcohol removes it . Try it in an inconspicuous place first. For troubleshooting I would check the following: • did you shake the Z1 really well • did you let it dry before appying the Z2? It's just supposed to haze ... about 1/2 an hour.
Your best bet is to shoot an e-mail to Sal. He can sort it out and direct you to the Michigan distributor.

Thanks. I did shake it well, and let it sit for almost 2 hours before I put the Z-2 on. Oh, btw, I snapped a few pics of your car running down the track at Milan Possum if you want me to email you them when I get them developed.

Yeah .. the pics would be cool.
I'm thinking you may have let the Z1 dry too long ... but the instructions say you don't "have to" let it dry ... they don't say "don't let it dry".
Is this the first Zaino on the car? Any possibility that there was some dealer applied "goop" still on it?

actualy, you let it sit way to long. remember, zaino is a polyemer system. the z1 is the "catalyist" that starts the polish bonding to the clear coat. you put it on.. it flash dries in around 10 min. then apply the polish immediately.
try this: use distilled water, and just wipe the areas down with a cotton towel/diaper. then apply another coat of z2 to one area for an experiment... let it dry for an hour. and buff it off. remember.. its a micro thin layer of polish that cures.. so apply it very thin. its been my experience that when folks get streaking, its from applying too much polish...

You also may want wet down a cotton towel with warm water and ring it out good. Then wipe down the entire car, the warm wet towel seems to remove the excess polish from the surface. Then apply a thin coat like KenC said. Hope this helps you out too!
