Hey I am interested in adding a 69 Camaro to go along with my 2000 SS. If anyone has ideas or has one for sale please let me know.

Hi John,

69 Camaro project cars are a lot of fun. I've been working on one slowly for about 4 years now off and on. What model are you looking for and what are you plans for it? Drag racing, showing, Sunday cruising, etc. The type of car you go looking for depends a lot on your plans for it. I wanted something original that was not already trashed out by prior owners. It took a lot of time to find. If I just wanted the body so I could hot-rod it there were a lot more options. I'll be happy to share with you what I've done and tips on the areas to watch out for when shopping. I lucked out and found an original owner car with only 74,000 miles. It was from Las Vegas and did not have a lot of the bad rust areas, just a lot of door dings and a couple slight fender benders in the parking lot. Good luck. The pickings are getting smaller and smaller.

Well, I think what I want is a lower priced project, something not already half finished.
I want to do most of the work myself, but I don't want to touch any bodywork. I figure I should find something not too special so if I make some mistakes along the way I can learn what not to do on a SS or something along that line. I just not sure how rough the car I should start with is tolerable to me. I am major scared of rust from what people have told me. I dont really want to replace floor pans at all. What body work and parts did you have to find? Did you go w/ reproduction stuff? I dont really want a race car at all just something fairly quick and stock looking really. Totally original is not my goal on the first car. Hey, if you want I will give my email and we can discuss more. Also where did you buy parts locally?
My email is attnjohn@hotmail.com.
