Finally decided to end the guess work and did a few Dynamometer runs today. Results:
329.3 RWHP at 5,400 RPM 332.4 RWTQ at 4,600 RPM
Using the old 15% drivetrain power loss figure, that translates to 387 HP and 391 lbs-ft torque at the flywheel. I can live with that!
Air/fuel ratio was beautifully flat after 2,400 RPM, averaging around 12, max 17.5 @ 2,000 RPM.
And surprise, surprise, I gained almost 10 horse when I REMOVED the SLP Air Intake Temperature Module that provides extra spark advance.

Very nice, it must be a good feeling to see some good numbers after your mods.

That's great! Those are some good numbers. It's funny funny how some people claim there's a HP loss with the Loudmouth and/or K&N. I don't see any here. Hmmmmmmmmm Posted by Bolide (Member # 373) on :
Thanks for the kind words everyone; I'm very proud of "Celine" (named her after another Quebec-born powerhouse). Now that I've just installed a throttle body coolant bypass and am about to install a 160 thermostat, maybe I can inch the RWHP up to 331 or 332, which would put me over the 390 bhp mark at the crank. Maybe a few produc t decals would help, too--I'v e heard they're good for around 5 hp each! Posted by DanA_F99_1977 (Member # 118) on :
Nice numbers Paul!! I did a sort of dyno run in the Z06 last week. It was at a company here that builds dyno's. It wasn't properly set up so the numbers aren't worth much. We didn't correct for weather either. But it was a trip to see 140 in 4TH on the speedo while sitting 3 FT in the air.
FOr what it's worth, the dyno said 360 HP and 403 tq.
