On Thursday, my daughter, Ashley, and I cruised up to LA and visited beautiful Camarillo California! #31 was going back to see her original "daddy" for the first time since November 25th 2000! Mike grasso and I had exchanged emails about some parts he had that he thought I might be interested in. I had told him I thought I would be driving Suzanne's Camry so he was quite surprised when #31 pulled in front of his beautiful place in Camarillo. To say he was happy to see her is quite an understatement! Even though he's now the proud pappa of an Explorer Sport trak, he could hardly stop smiling when we pulled in. He took a look around Black beauty and sat in her for a minute. Then he was off to show us the new truck and his invention of a netting cover for the bed. I wouldn't be surprised if it shows up as an option in the future. After trading stories for a while, we put the parts in the car and were off for Mimi's for refreshments. Unfortunately, Mitzi was still stuck downtown and couldn't get back in time. We had a great time over dinner, trading stories from him for pictures of our new home from me. Ashley was interested in Mike's other sideline...consulting for the movie industry. At about 8.30 we called it a day and started back for San Diego. We rolled up to the door at home at 11pm...pretty good time for that distance. Along the way, in San Fernando valley, we had some fun on 101 with a yellow Saleen Mustang ragtop. All in all, a great trip. It sure was good to see Mike again, and I KNOW he enjoyed a visit with #31 as well. Thanks again, Mike!
