Seeing as how you are surfing between the boards. I figure I would ask you over here too. What happen with your not so cool tick in your motor, was it a rod?

Is the tick really loud, because I made a oops(and other not nice words) last weekend at the track. Best to hear it at higher rpm, idle???

Very audible at idle from the drivers seat with the window open. I never took it over 2000 rpm until it was fixed.
