i think that it would be cool to replace the red plastic cover with a clear one. of course the LED's would still light up red when lit and stay clear when off. i think that it would give the SS a really destinctive look. it would compliment your clear turn signal lenses (if you have them). so what do people think? does anyone know of a company that can do this. or already does this?
thanks guys

isn't brainstorming fun

The new Acura sports coupe has that effect, I saw it on a silver car and didn't care for it.

Hmmmm .... Interesting Idea ... especially on the lighter colored cars.

I've got the clear corners coming .... after I see them "live" on the pewter I"ll know what I really think of them.

IMHO, we should not be messing with 'emergency/safety' equipment ! There may even be a law against such modification to a brake lamp. Think I'll look into that one. Anyways, it's my belief and was always taught/reminded that safety devices should never be tampered with in any way shape or form.

Yep, I was right.... Just called the local cop shop and the officer that I was talking with said that ( in my area anyways ) all brake light lenses MUST be red in color. You might want to check with your local police as to the rules and regs. pertaining to the color of brake lenses.
