I'm still numb. My heart aches with the sorrow of the lost loved ones, the hurting of the thousands of others laying injured.
May God give them all the strength to continue.
Will our world ever be the same? Our innocence is lost forever.

I have no doubt that with iron resolve and a righteous indignation, we as a nation, along with our friends in the world, will move forward from this great tragedy, heal from our grievous wounds, and pour out our wrath on the perpetrators of these evil acts.
God Bless America.

The only good news is that family & friends I have down in NYC are safe. One was running late for work, and it proved a really good thing.

America is a very strong and powerful country. It's unfortunate that it takes actions like these to bring us all together. I have no doubt we will come through this even more solidified. We will find those responsible and show them what a true Super Power is and what we will do to anyone who tries to terrorize us. I love this country. God Bless America.

Fortunately, Linda and I work in NJ, and Linda's mom, who was close to the WTC for a closing yesterday, made it out okay. I'm still in a state of shock about what happened.

I hope everyone has had a better day as our country picks up the pieces. Yesterday I saw something that infuriated me almost as much as the attacks did. Early evening I was headed to Hooters to meet my buddies for some food and brews as we do every Tuesday. There were lineups of cars at every gas station that had not raised its prices (it's around $1.90 for regular unleaded here right now)yet. I could not believe this. One of the worst tragedies in our nations modern history, and people were worried about getting cheap (if you can call it that) gas?!?!!? One, it's outright disrespectful. Two, it's moronic. There was in NO WAY anything done yesterday would inhibit the flow of oil to this country. Even the speculation that the act was done by a middle eastern group should not make the gas prices go up. All those people were doing was playing into the gas companies reasons for raising prices (i.e. demand). I could only shake my head. Since I was born after the Vietnam War (1975 to be exact), I would have to say this is the biggest event in my time as an American, I'd have to remember it thinking about those mindless cattle at the gas pumps. I wish the best to all of you here who have friends and relatives who were affected by this tragedy. I hope everyone puts a little extra shine on that RED, WHITE, AND BLUE badge on the front of your SS.
