Here's a copy of a post I made on the SLP site. I guess this is my way of dealing with the horror of last week.

I just returned from Phoenix after spending a week in Arizona on business. What a week. Waking up Tuesday morning and seeing the Trade Center burning and watching, live in disbelief, as the second plane came crashing into the second tower. Watching the horror and grief unfold over the rest of the week. My return flight was canceled and standing for 2.5 hours in line yesterday morning to get on a return flight. Talking to a lady in the line whose bother-in-law was missing at the Trade Center. The lady sitting beside me on the plane who was in tears because she couldn't get home to her father's funeral in Virginia. After arriving home, learning about the 100 Canadians unaccounted for at the World Trade Center.
I went out in the garage this morning and looked at my SS. And you know, those stone chips that looked so big when I left last Monday, they don't look so big anymore.
We've all been touched in some way by the terrorism last Tuesday, and we should be thankful that we live in countries where most of the time all we have to worry about are relatively small issues like how many coats of Zaino to put on our F-bodies.
Let's hope the criminals responsible get punished, and we can go on with our lives and enjoy our freedoms and hobbies peacefully in the future.
