Hey guys. Well I am been fighting with my dealer about a month now with my air pump. I have brought the car in 4 times and everytime they said they fixed it, it wasn't. Well here's the problem when I start my car and it get's up to running temp, just under 210, and when I turn my car off and then restart it, it makes a whinning noise, kinda like a super charger. When I give it gas, it goes away, but if I don't it will stay on for like a mintue. The guy at the dealership says it because of the after market exhaust (borla). He said it multilpies the sound which causes the noise. I have about 40 guys in my car club with after market exhuast, ranging from borla to flowmaster to loud mouth. I have never heard anyone complain about this noise and I haven't heard anyone on here say anything. My question is to you guys, does anyone elses car make this noise?? PLease help. Thanks

Hey Yikes,
I have the same problem and its getting worse. I have a Borla like you, and I will be bringing it in to have it looked at within the next few weeks.
I also will be having the power steering pump replaced because it to Whines. Will see what the dealer says when I come roaring into the shop there. LOL

Hey Mr. Hawkeye! What's up? I'm doing pretty good over here. I just want to get this problem fixed. I am bringing the car back next week. They will hear from me. I am getting pissed now. So how are you doing?

I have the same problem, taking it in next week. I have a modified Factory exhaust, (although it has nothing to do with the whine). I also think there is a Service Bulletin (or it is known about by GM) on this. Good luck.
