Just ask KevinA when he was watching the tire scrubs DanA's (Z06) was doing at speed compared to my SS ..
The Z06 has allmost no body roll and if it does you can not see it with your eye.
To achieve the ZO6 handling on a SS you would have to open your wallet for a few months ..
I won't even go into the fit and finish thing since my SS is starting to have a few warrenty problems.

I own both and respectfully disagree with your friend. When the F-bod push into a turn, I go inside and stick like I am on rails. The care is truly amazing. I love my SS but there is no performance match. The Z06 handling is something you have to get used to. You just can't believe that you will make a corner at the speed you are going then, wham it take a set and just goes right around. Once you learn how to drive it it will amaze you! I thnk we have the proof from Skyline. There were some awesome cars and some very good drivers and still, the Z06 was a class beyond in the handling dept. I like to think I am a fair driver and still learning but there was not match there for the Z06. I am still grinning from those rides and so is my neighbor who is new to the car scene. Although seeing all those awesome F-bods and driving in the Z06 gave him the bug!
