I won't let it go to my head ... I believe the question they were trying to answer was "what on earth would possess someone to drive 23 hours each way over a long weekend to attend a birthday party?"

We were originally going to go into California, then up the Pacific coast highway and then cut through Portland and across to home, but it was just too far for 2 weeks ... especially with the potential for challenging weather heading through the mountains twice ... on KD's .... with the top down

If you come through Portland first, we could join you and pick up others along the way.
It would have to be before snow hits the Cascades though.
