Just from my little corner of the world ... they are schrewd .. and covered a big chunk of their butt when they settled lawsuits with Apple and infused enough cash into Apple to make sure that the MacOS would remain as a "competitor" and committed to providing Mac versions of their significant software.

Don't like 'em ... get a Mac
