We'll have to get to work and figure out what kind of a program they can set up for us next year ... and how we can work the schedule to "fit" with Bowling Green and the F-bodfather.
We had an interesting trip up to South Lake Tahoe, where we are now. From Pahrump we headed through Death Valley, Lone Pine, Independance Big Pine and Bishop. Monday morning as we approached the entrance to Yosemite National Park, sun shining, top down, enjoying the drive we noticed the sign that Tioga Pass was open, so we figured let's duck in and take a look at the Giant Sequoias. Nice drive in ...lots of curves ... as we left the Grove it started to rain, and before we knew it, with the increase in elevation, we got into some wet heavy snow. We got a tail wag (with the ASR on) and slid off the wrong side of the road on a heavily cambered turn, In the 4 hours before the wrecker pulled us out and towed us back down to rain level we saw a car, a 4 x 4 Toyota, and the wrecker, complete with chains encounter the same fate. Word was that there was a 3 car pile-up behind us as well.
Anyway, we got to Sonora for the night and had an uneventful trip up 49 and 50 into Lake Tahoe.
We love this countryside ... the roads with all the curves are a blast and the scenery just keeps getting better.
Now .. back to our regularly scheduled vacation.
Likewise on the program 3 - hmmm - I'm sure the guys there have more they can teach, and our skills are far from perfected.
It was great to finally meet you! Maybe we will meet again in Bowling Green!
You are in a very scenic area. I love the way Tahoe looks in the winter and Yosemite too!
