Ken, I have a question about a tire by the name of Road Hugger Radial GT. We have these on a old 1984 Supra that my son drives. Size M+S P 225/60R14. My question is who makes this tire? Can't sem to find much on them. The reason I'm asking is that I saw a notice about Cooper tires and a nationwide settlement and was trying to find out if these tires were affected by it. We bought the tires a few months ago so they have very few miles on them. Any help you can give would be great, thanks for your time.

I think I had those on my '68 Chevelle back in High School (Dang, almost 20 years ago?).

They had raised white letters.....the coolest thing back then.

Do a search in Google.com and see what you get.

I bought in the 80's from Les Schwab, a Pacific NW Tire manufacturer/distributor chain.

hi folks.

check the DOT code on the side of the tire.. the first 2..or 3 letters.. after the letters "DOT" is the plant code. cooper has two plants, the codes are: UT and UP. see if either appears on your tires... then get back to me.

kenneth.collings@gsa.gov

Ken, thanks for the reply, looks like the DOT numbers are UPRV-138E There are numbers next to it as follows = R-3303-K10961. I hope these are the correct numbers as they are the only ones I can find. Again, thanks for your help.

Teri, thanks again for the replies, I looked at Google.com and found some stuff but nothing on who actually makes the tires, I know that Cooper private labels under many different names but can not seem to find who makes Road Hugger. The search continues.. Thanks again,

Ralph
