Here are the parts in question: #12560801: LS6 "Gen 3" Performance Cylinder Head #12560950: LS6 "Gen 3" Production Performance Camshaft #12565117: LS6 "Gen 3" Performance Valve Spring
Has anyone ever used these parts, or know if any of the parts have been proven to work well with the LS1? I like the idea of using factory-engineered parts in my car, but I want to see if it's first worth it. Also, I remember reading on a Corvette publication that several LS6 parts (a la Z06 Vette) are not backwards compatible with the LS1 components. One example was the cylinder lining. Any info would be great! Thanks!
Future plans also include an LS6 intake and Z06 brakes.

Apparently, physically fitting together doesnt mean they will work well together. Check these links:
I thought xtrooper or xbchbum had done this, you might page them or do a search.

I think Xtrooper used Ls6 valve springs. Not sure about the cam.

Awesome guys! Thanks for the info. I'm going to dig a little deeper and see what I come up with. So far the general opinion is that the LS6 cam isnt worth the cost of installing it, as you'd probably get more power out of a cam from Comp Cams or Lunati. But since my point it is to keep most parts under the bowtie name, I'd like to see what the real numbers are behind all the LS6 parts. I realize that most of what made the Z06 jump from 385hp to 405 had to do with exhaust changes, but I just really want to know what else. Thanks again folks!
