After playing rock & Roll for over 35 years on the air in Canada, including everything the Beatles and George by himself ever released, I'm finding it real tough to believe that there are only 2 Beatles left. Thursday night was all reruns so I dragged out a tape of one of the Prince's Trust concerts at Wembley in, I think, '87. There were George and Ringo...George doing While My Guitar Gently Weeps with Eric Clapton, and the show closing with Ringo and With a Little Help From My Friends. Then I switch off the tape, go to Fox News and there's the crawl saying George has died. I mean, we knew he was sick, but the shock of seeing the announcement is still with me! Our rock icons are dying...hard to believe! May there be Great Rock in Heaven!

There are two things that I am truly addicted to: music and cars. And the Beatles are definitely one of my favorite groups of musicians. But as I grew up, George has become my favorite Beatle. Although I appreciate John and Paul's solo work, George's solo stuff is definitely my favorite. Lyrically, his song's have always intreiged my soul. "All things must pass away..."
