hello all im new on the board, heres my question. i just had a full 2002 zo6 clutch put in my car and i like it. the only problem is when i shift HARD into second gear i get a nice chirp and a little wheelhop. this never happened with the stock clutch. i do have 285 g-force tires which are sticky and a lakewood panhard rod, eibach springs and a hotchkis stb. will big aftermarket control arms stop this slight wheelhop?!?!/

You may need BMR LCA relocation brackets. Your LCAs should be horizontal for optimal traction and eradication of wheelhop.

Stealth Performance has a 10% off BMR special going on right now.

I think if you replace the rear parts (LCAs and torque arm)with BMR you'll be in good shape.

Different question:
I see you went with the flowmaster, I was looking at their catback system and it looked nice, how happy are you with it?

thanks for the input guys keep it commin, a friend recommended the lakewood control arms that come with the "traction action bars" or the boxed bmr control arms, ill prob go w/ the bmr's (good chioce?) he said they should work great. and as far as the flowmaster goes i really like it, i changed the tips from the 3 inchers that came with it to 3.5 inch ones, it sounds really good, and yes its loud!

hey blucamss,

i noticed you had the on*star system. how much was that to install. i was considering it, but the dealership told me it would be too much, and basically not worth it. but i still would like it. (every GM vehicle should be equiped with it )

The first time I took my SS to the drag strip the suspension was stock but had the "revised rear lower control arms" that are part of the Bilstein Y2Y package. Basically they are stock with harder bushings. I only made two passes and defintely was getting scratch for all three gear changes but had absolutely no wheel hop.

I recommend that you start by either upgrading the bushings in your rear LCAs or, since they aren't that expensive ($110), just installing tubular LCAs with polyurethane bushings.

as far as the on*star system,it was $400, i like it but it costs like $25 a month and honestly i hardly ever use it, the screen looks cool though.
