Can we change the default for sig to off? I am not smart enough to remember to click the box every time.

J.R. with have to answer the question. As I understand it, Dave had to do a hack, to change the default on the SLP Board.
I'd also prefer it to be off.

I agree as well.
Now what would really be cool is if we could have the sig on for your first post in a topic and off for any additional posts in the same topic. It would save time for those of us who are still technologically challenged with dial-up!
