Also, what if you leave your top down for a few minutes while in the corner store? You may find you no longer own a Windstop. There is no locking device to prevent theft.

My main concern though is the Windstop flying off the SS on the highway. There is an easy fix for this. Lay the Windstop on the floor upside down and move the metal sliders all the way out to the 'latched' position. Drill a small hole in the center of the slider beside the plastic bracket that holds the slider down. Now, take the four screws out of the plastic cap and remove the slider. Using a larger drill than you used to drill the hole, clean up the metal burrs that were left from the initial drilling. Now replace the slider and the plastic cap. Repeat procedure for the other slider. Your local hardware store should sell small locks that will fit the holes that you have just drilled. I got two locks that were sold as a set that are keyed alike.

Now your Windstop will be safe for highway driving and you won't easily loose it to a thief.

Yeah, I first tried putting one of my locks in the existing hole as well. I found out, as you did, that doesn't work. There are two factory holes in each of the sliders. There is a small metal ball in the plastic piece that holds the slider down. So when you move the slider to the 'latched' position, the metal ball falls into one of the holes in the slider holding it ( supposedly ) in the 'latched' position. This does not work very well! Also, when the slider is in the 'un-latched' position, the metal ball falls into the other hole, securing the slider.

So, people were checking out your Windstop. The Windstop changes the whole look of a Camaro 'Vert. A few people have asked about mine too. One guy that I didn't even know pulled up into my driveway and was asking where I got it from. I told him about Afterthoughts Auto. He actually wanted one for a Chrysler Sebring 'Vert. I told the guy that mine was designed specifically for the F-body convertible and to contact Deanne for availability for the Sebring.

Anyone else have to "trim" the tonneau covers a little to get them to sit pressure free again?

I ended up doing a little Dremel relief at all the brackets.
