Out of 650+ packets sent out, only a handful have been reported as broken. I'll send you another one. Do you have a suggestion as to how it should be packaged without being too expensive?

I received mine yesterday and the post office mangled mine. The frame is broken and the letter is kinda crumpled. Other than that, it was a nice surprise and break from cleaning my car. I had forgotten it was comming. I am willing to send postage paid padded cardboard envelope, or money to cover the added cost, if I can get replacements. Just let me know. Diane, I have made a note to get a new LofA and plate frame to you in the next batch. This is the largest # of plate frames to have been reported broken. You're the third person out of 43 sent in this batch. The other two have been re-sent, but since you need a new LofA, it'll have to wait until the April/May batch gets sent to SLP. Sorry that the P.O. mutilated the packet.....I'm up for suggestions on how we can inexpensively package and ship the packets out differently if anyone has them.

My license plate frame was broken also. My mail box is very narrow and the package was folded a bit to fit the box. A similar thing happened to my SLP SS Birth Certificate also. The envelope was folded to fit my mail box and the certificate got creased. I flattened the certificate out the best that I could and luckily, the crease is only noticible on the back.
The only suggestion that I have for you is to write "Fragile - Please do not bend" on the envelope and to put two fairly thick pieces of cardboard in the package to help protect the goodies inside.

My dilemma is.... Where to find cardboard in bulk, cut to the right size, at an inexpensive price (free would be nice). I am NOT going to spend my time cutting scrounged cardboard to size. The other issue is where to store it. I already have a storage issue with the many boxes of antenna flags, plate frames, sheet protectors, SSOA file boxes, bubble wrap, envelopes, stickers, decals, letterhead, etc...... Steve can tell you all about what our living room looks like! The pieces of cardboard I've used to send out replacement frames were in the mylar sheet packets (I only had 4 of them) and the others I cut from envelope boxes at work. The packets are thick enough as it is, I don't think the envelope will accommodate two pieces of thick cardboard. That lead to needing to buy bigger envelopes, which increases the cost and may cost more in postage. If I change from bubble wrap and a strong envelope to a Post Office Priority Mail box, our postage costs will more than double at $3.50 - $3.95 each instead of $1.49 each. More opinions & ideas are welcome!

Try the "Fragile - Please do not bend" message on the front of the envelope. I would imagine most letter carriers would oblige.

Teri, We are sending our SSOA application in this week. We will stop by and get our goodies in person when their ready. I ship alot of things at our business and have sympathy for you trying to get all these packages out and have to ty to make them destruction proof as I know what the USPS, UPS and Fed Ex put these packages through! Just drop us an e-mail and we will come up and show of the new SS and pick our stuff up in person.
