Need a little bit of advice. Is there any inexpensive way to get a smooth shine on my SLP center-mount exhaust tips. I really like the design and the look of the rear end of my SS, but these exhaust tips are bumpy, rough and dull looking. Other than replacing with chromed tips, is there anything I can do to make them shiny and smooth?

Try to clay bar them then try Neverdull until the black is gone then after everytime you drive the car wipe off the tips and polish with chrome polish every time you wash.

Thanks for the advice. I used a bit of Simple Green with a Scotchbrite pad this weekend and they look much better. I will definitely try the chrome polish now.

Take then to a shop that polishes aluminum. The surface will have to be ground smooth and then the polishing process can start. You could get them chromed also after they are smooth.Same process as polishing a intake manifold to look like chrome.
