Keep an eye out for a post from Rock. He tangled with a Ferrari last night. Let's just say that
4:10's do not reduce the top end of these cars! He'll explain.

Has any one done the free EGR mod? The 1 1/2 inch trim job or the install of the in line filter for the PCV? Just wondering how it worked out.

Have a great week all.

Ugh! First day back to work after a week off. On top of that, supposed to rain today. At least I got to take off the t-tops on the SS yesterday. What a great weekend.

Tell him to be careful out there ... I don't want to be sending Tracy and Alec flowers

I told him the same thing. He did however pick a
"good" spot, if there could be one to do it. Straight rode, no access points, no other traffic.

But still... driver error, mechanical failure, anything is possible.

G'morning!

I took the SS for it's first long drive of the season north through farm country. It's just like driving a new car all over again (the only benefit to storing the car all winter )

Installed the new SLP bellows between the airbox & the engine. I didn't notice any difference in acceleration, but it looks good.

Good morning. Had a great weekend as well. Helped a fellow F-bod owner put on his loudmouth, MTI lid on Sat as well as changing my rear diff and tranny fluid to Royal Purple with the help of Ken Howe on Sat. On Sunday detailed the Z06. It looked better than it ever has since I bought it including the day I took second in a show. Drove to my old town that I grea up in and visited my uncle that I am very close to. I have seen so many things go on that I just to go and visit him!! It was a fantastic day!! He said that the vette had the shiniest finish of any car that he had ever seen in his life and had more controls that the F4 Phantom that he worked on when he was younger. He made my day and I think I made his.

Say hi to someone you love today.
It is perfect weather today as well. Mid 70's sunny. I am going to take the tees off and go to Dunkin Dounts (Tim Hortons of the US Northeast).

Good morning everybody!
Well, the rain held off on Saturday for our driver training track day!! NateSS, obSSd, and 3 guys from the 'vette club were out there(along with lots of others). Had lots of fun, dialed in my car slightly (although it has this nagging problem of running out of fuel in the corners at anything less than 1/2 tank!!). I only made 1 1/2 off-track excursions(on purpose, it was better to go off in a straight, controlled fashion than possible sideways, stick-the-car-in the-mud-and-roll-it-fashion!!!). Anyway, I am sure obSSd will give you a more detailed report, but we had lots-o-fun!!!

Good morning! The sun is about to burn off the fog here this morning. Should be a great day!

Started over on the SS this weekend, starting with the Zaino clay bar, Z1, Z5, and Z6. It is looking better than ever.

Can't wait for the sun to shine on through and show my baby off! Y'all have a great day!

7am - Arrived at the paddock
7:30 - Finished unloading the car and setting up tripod, laptop, etc.

j/k...I'm not getting that detailed It was a lot of fun, though. Steve was originally set for class 2 but got moved up to 3. Lucky bum! Classes 1 and 2 were limited to no passing for the first 2 sessions (of only 4)...nothing like getting stuck behind a slow Porsche Boxster and not being allowed to pass Then I took advantage of passing in sessions 3&4 to pass almost everybody at least once (except for a supercharged Honda S2000...it was notably quicker in the corners and just as fast on the straights).

One of these days, I'll get around to making mpeg's out of the footage. I borrowed two camcorders...one for Steve's car and one for mine. Unfortunately, the one in Steve's car kept turning off mid-session so there's no footage of him going straight into the grass (it did capture him straddling one of the curbs).

I now know the next 3 things I need to change on my car. What I need most are sticky tires on their own set of wheels. That'll have to wait because I found #2 at a trade show yesterday for a great price: Eradispeeds (just need to get some new brake pads for them). #3 is suspension - some better springs, shocks, sway bars, bushings, end links, etc. Dang, this is getting expen$ive

Interesting how horsepower adders move down the list of priorities after running on a road course, eh

Yep In my own defense, I've been planning on handling mods more than power mods anyway. This just clinches it.

Evening all. Spent this beautiful in a pool inside working on my PADI Cert, now just have to do my dives in June. Had my 11 year old daughter Ali with me, she did great, but has to retake the final test.

Have a great one all.

yeah, after doing a road course, suspention is definately a high priority. high horse power is fine and dandy, but it wont do you any good if you cant use it in the corners do to running off the track.
