I just bought some Eradispeeds and wanted to get some recommendations for brake pads. Since my car is a daily driver, I'm willing to sacrifice some performance for lower dusting pads that won't wear out the rotors and will still perform well when cold or wet. I've been looking at Performance Friction pads but they seem geared too much toward racing pads than every day pads (and I can't find them for the rear). KVR, Hawk, AC Delco, etc...what do y'all like/dislike about the pads you've used and which pads, specifically (Performance Friction offers about 6 compounds), would you recommend?

I just got a set Eradispeeds myself. My SS is also my daily driver so I'm going to use Raybestos Brutestop pads. Seems to be very high quality and a good compromise. If I ever get serious about autocrossing I'll probably look for something else.

I have the stock pads in now. When I go to a road course, I change the pads to highwe perfomance pads. They are a lot dustier but much better. Don't fade as much and really bite.
Also, I have cryogenically treated rotors. They have no slots or holes. The brake expert I talked to says that the slotted are cheese graters on you pads and don't help much. He says that flat rotors with cryo treating are right for our cars with occasional track use. Full race cars are a different story.

The part # for the Performance friction pads is #0749.xx/7494 for the front pads. There is no part available for the rears yet, unfortunatly. I have had great luck with the carbon metallic pads. They work great, but dust a lot. You may want to just put them on for track days, since they are such an easy swap.

Yea, that is what I was trying to get at. The pads take ten minutes to swap then you just use them a few times and any residue from the old pads is worked off.
