I have a quick power antenna question (or three). If anyone knows the answers, I would appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
1) What's the part number? 2) Will it work with aftermarket head units? 3) How much is it?
Thanks.

1: sorry, dont have the part # offhand, but I know somebody else will. 2:Yes, it will work with aftermarket head units. 3:I think it was about $100-120 for the antenna and the pigtail lead for it.

I assume you are looking for a BLACK antenna..., Part# = 10402859 (I recently purchased one $114) You will also need connector (PN# 12117322) After I purchased mine I found out about http://www.gmpartsdirect.com, ...even with shipping, the price is better. Kevin

I've installed mine, easy job. If you're interested, I'm almost done with an install procedure (which includes wiring in a 'spare' ("fog lamp") toggle switch) ...that plugs right into the dash, ...IF you're willing to remove the "Camaro" plaque...

I've got a remote bass control for my amp in the space where the ASR would go. Isn't there a way to make it go up and down only when the radio function is on? I thought I read something about one of the wires (#8 maybe) being the signal for the radio. I could be wrong.

...Pin#8 is correct. As you mention, the antenna will go up with radio power, ...down when radio is turned off. I added the switch (in line with pin#8) to manually control the antenna (such as listening to CD's) to keep it down with radio power on.

Let me clear this up a bit. When I say radio, I'm referring to listening to the radio. I.E., if I was listening to a CD and switched modes to FM Radio, I'd want to antenna to rise then. It's been a while since I had a car with a power antenna from the factory, but I thought that's how they worked.
Little confusion because we refer to a stereo as a "radio" still.
Hmm, after talking to my cube neighbor (a loyal Pontiac man), he says his antenna comes up when the stereo is turned on (radio or CD mode). So that answers my question.
