First: We have a big holiday weekend coming up here in the U.S. -- on
behalf of all the men and women at Ste. Therese Assembly and those of us
here at GM.....I beg you: Please -- don't drink and drive --- and wear the
seatbelts that we put in your Camaros and Firebirds......it's an idea you
can live with.
Second:
As you probably know, we will be kicking off a year-long celebration in
June that marks Corvette's 50th Birthday. Not only is this a milestone for
Corvette and Chevrolet, but it is a milestone for the industry.....after
all, how many "nameplates" have been out there for a continuous 50 years?
(trivia: Suburban was introduced in 1935)
For those of you who may be visiting in the Metro Detroit/Windsor area:
Starting tomorrow and running through June 19, we will have a Corvette
Display in "GM World" at the GM Global Headquarters in the Renaissance
Center -Detroit. Hours of operation are 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday thru
Friday.
