Just ordered my new Centerforce DF clutch this am, to replace the other one that is slipping. Will have to install it early next week, as we are taking a trip next weekend in it! It had almost 8000 miles on it the existing Centerforce clutch, so I guess I can't complain too much with all the abuse it has to put up with!!! It started having its problem at the dragstrip a few weeks ago, then apparently got worse when I put the KDW's on it, and did a small "road test"!!! Oh well, will keep you updated on the progress. I will be installing a scattershield at the same time, just to save my feet someday!! Posted by NATESS (Member # 982) on :
it never ends does it. Posted by HTWLSS (Member # 117) on :
New tires, new clutch.....what's next? You better keep the driveline intact! We can't afford anything else to break.

only $269.00?
This is coming from a guy that won't let me buy a .99 HotWheels because we don't have the money.....
HA!

hey, since steve got to spend $269.00 on a clutch, does that mean that you get to buy 269 hotwheel cars to make it even? Posted by 2002Z4CSS (Member # 1393) on :
I am proud of you to only get 8000 miles from a clutch. At least we all know the car is not a trailer queen! Posted by HTWLSS (Member # 117) on :

Ahh, but how many sets of tires? Posted by Steve da Wrench (Member # 1301) on :
Actually, only one set, and the fronts were more worn than the rears! They have about 75% tread left except on the outer edges of the outer blocks on the front tires.
Got the clutch out now, lots of hot spots on the clutch and flywheel. I don't highly recommend second gear starts at the dragstrip
Just got the clutch done and back in. It hasn't felt this good in a LONG time. Must have been worn for awhile. It works good now!

Rob, go south on I-205, then north on I-5 to the Lake Oswego/Durham exit, turn right at the offramp signal, go to the 2nd light, turn right. Thats Jean Rd. Go to the Tee, turn left, 2 blocks on the left!
