Last year I put on the SLP lid and K&N filter and honestly could not tell the difference. Many of you have stated what a clear difference it made so I just figured I was not "one with my car" and so assumed that there was an improvement (although I have often thought of putting the original set up back just to check).
This past weekend I installed the Granatelli MAF and SLP bellows - this time not expecting much since I had planned to do it along with an exhaust upgrade - and I had read that the upgrade won't do much for a "stock" setup. Well to my surprise there is a significant improvement - I mean a very notieable difference in power, throttle response, runs smoother under WOT, etc.
So here's the question; is it just me or have any you had the same results with a MAF upgrade?

I did, but Rock didn't. Years ago there was some controversy about your computer "relearning" after a few miles and negating any benefit. Your first few miles would make a difference and then it would "go back to normal".
I left mine in
I figured more air = more power!

Thanks Hawk, and yes I remembered reading the same thing. But this is what got me thinking - "This 50-State Legal, OBD-II compatible replacement unit features 47% more airflow capacity than the stock sensor and state-of-the-art hybrid electronics. The advanced, active electronic module packaged within the sensor provides improved control of both ignition and injector timing, contributing to a performance gain of 10-15 horsepower at the rear wheels. Sensor is housed in a rugged high impact, Injection molded body to reduce heat soak, a problem that is common with the stock metal sensor" Anything to it or just "sales talk"?.

DaddySS;
How easy did you find the bellows install? I would have liked another 1/8" in length for a proper fit. I had to do a few calisthenics to make it fit.
As it is, I'll need to remove the bellows to remove the lid, to check the air filter.

I noticed an improvement when I installed my PACE LS6 MAF and ported my throttle body. I wasn't expecting much of a difference but I did. The MAF richened me up a bit because I had pinging before when i ported my own MAF...

Boy you got that right, and thanks by the way, once again I thought it was just me!
