When we took our grille off, we just left the holes where the grille was attached. It would be nice if someone could figure out how to make some paintable plugs or make use of some body side moulding to hide them.
I got a scrap of black, textured Lexan from a local plastic store http://www.tapplastics.com and cut a couple of pieces just larger than the holes that expose the foam in the bumper. I bent them slightly to put them in place and they stay there on their own.
As far as the scratches where the grille rubbed the paint, without re-painting the fascia, I don't know what to do. I haven't tried to tackle it with a very fine rubbing compound yet. It's not that noticeable on ours.
Maybe other members who have removed their grilles can offer their suggestions on what they've done.
And Dan/Andy, if your reading this you gotta see the front of the SS now.....I really got tired of the grille and removed it a few days ago....

We're supposed to be hooking up next Saturday, the 27th, for a cruise up to the Kangamangus to shoot pics and video. It'd be great if you could join us. Can't wait to see the car.
