Are their any other hams out here beside me and Thom? There is a neat program to use voice over ip to talk to repeaters. It is called echolink. I used it this morning to listen on 2M to a gentleman in Denver. I though we could try it out.

Thom it worked fine this morning then never again. I think he needs to turn the link on and he doesn't leave it on.

Well nice to meet you KC5LNU. Have you heard of echolink? We could have a QSO over it. It uses Voice over IP over the internet. You don't even have to have a radio. Just your amateur license.

I'll take a look at ECHOLINK this weekend. I tried ILINK about a year ago and could not get it to work right. Maybe ECHOLINK is better.
I thought I was an early SSOA member, but your're earlier than I am.
