for the 1st time in 2 years! He decided to clean out the shed and rearrange the car so that we would have more room. The car used to be in sideways and took up a ton of room.He and I did a frame off restoration in 1997. He drag raced and showed this car. It was his very 1st car when he turned 16 years old and paid $500 for itfrom the original owner. It also has every option except for t-tops and all original paperwork. Just turned 60,000 actual miles. The door panels are the fancy custom deluxe ones that are not available from any aftermarket supplier. We changed the interior color from Dark Carmine to Saddle except for the door panels. He is building a long rod 406ci roller Small block Chevy that should be making 500-550 hp without the NOS. Sorry for the dark pictures, but when I thought of taking some pictures it was getting late! Here is the link to the pictures.
I know what you mean about the lack of room, I have a 70 Nova SS that I have been rebuilding for several years now, not much work has been done lately because I had to put both kids in braces (teeth) at the same time. The front clip is all up in the attic and the bare body is on dollies. Mary keeps telling me that if I don't start working on it she will start putting it on the curb. ( she just wants more room for her SS.) LOL
anyways your sons car looks great, What color is that?

That color is 1972 Chevrolet Bright Red code 72 if I remember. It really looks great in the sun and these dark pictures do not do the car justice! I painted this car when my son had had a very small budget while working as a bus boy at a Bob Evans resturant and it is only a laquer base with clear coat. I painted the car for $325 total ,which was very cheap and worked on it each day for 8 days (couple of hours per day) while he was still driving it to work each day until the paint was done. I will repaint the car and help him re-do the undercarriage when he is ready and will use a good PPG urethane base/clear paint. We just recently sold an 1988 Z-24 and a 1989 S-10 and still have 7 vehicles! I have no room!
