Just added a 1 3/8" front sway bar at Sam Strano's suggestion. Bot am I glad I did.
Relatively easy swap out ... maybe 2 - 3 hours on jackstands with some beer thrown in. My SS has 8,400 miles on it, and the stock sway bar plastic and bolts were not in good shape . Go figure, huh ... typical over torque until the plastic crushes.
New sway bar is heavier (solid) and was immediately noticeable in handling. Corners FLAT. Period. Mine is from Suspension Technologies, Inc.
Do it! You won't be sorry. Posted by HTWLSS (Member # 117) on :
I think you'll be pleased w/an STB, too.
Steve started to install our SFC's yesterday. We'll have them on the car for our trip to Bowling Green. We're thinking about taking the SST (SS Trailer) with us and could use all the chassis stiffener help we can get. The section joints in the freeways & bridges were hard on the car last time we went.
See ya at the Friday Night Cruise tonight.
