Even if no rooms in the SSOA block are available, I think there may still be rooms available at the Best Western. I'd call them and find out.

Art was kind enough to arrange a block of rooms for SSOA members, but I believe they are all spoken for.

You can call the hotel(s) directly to get a room. There are hundreds & hundreds of rooms in B.G. (they're able to accomodate the big Corvette events).

Tell them what event you are attending, and most likely they will have a room.

The list of hotels & phone #'s are listed on the B.G. registration page listed in my signature.

Make sure you register yourself (and guests) so you'll be able to join us for dinner.

If you are an SSOA member, and haven't RSVP'd for the SSOA Thursday events, make sure you do that....it's going to be a blast!

Let us know if you have any questions.

Our block is full, but we will be releasing the unconfirmed rooms very shortly.

I have your info and will be sending you the required information.

So what do you have to do to confirm a room? I got my confirmation number and everything is SUPPOSED to be good to go, right? I don't want to find out I don't have a room when I get there after setting things up in advance. I mean, then what would be the point in that? They got my credit card number, so if we don't show (but we will), they get paid for it as if we were there anyhoo.

I assume you booked outside of the SSOA block as you're not on my room list.

The confirmation we're referring to is for the SSOA block of rooms. We blocked 20, people asked for them, we submitted the list of names to the hotel. Everyone was then required to call the hotel to "confirm" their room with a credit card. A number of people haven't done that, and haven't responded to several reminder e-mails. These are the rooms that will be made available again.

I've released the rooms and advised the folks on the waiting list via e-mail.

Greg

I'm no longer monitoring the rooms. They can send me an e-mail, I'll send them the info and they can check for availability.

Yep, when I called, I mentioned I was in the SSOA, so they gave me those prices. So although I'm not officially on "the list", it looks as if I'm the "21st room". But that's good, I'm confirmed anyway.

I have ONE extra room booked (at Best Western) (for WED/THUR/FRI/SAT nights) that may become available (I will know in a few days from other party).
As others did, I booked it seperately from the SSOA 'lot' however got the SSOA price.
I will not rush to drop this since I know people are still looking. Anyone interested, please email me kevink7@hotmail.com . I'll offer on first come first serve, If it becomes available...
Thanks,
Kevin
