Yesterday, several members of the various F-Body clubs in the MD/DC/VA area got together and we cruise up into DC and ended at the Pentagon, where we were granted access to the ceremonial area and Ground Zero. It is quite a humbling experience to stand at that spot, one year later, all re-built and better than new. Afterwards we held a candle-lite vigil in the parking lot.
Here's THE LINK to the pictures that I was able to get. No video cameras were allowed in and no pictures of law enforcement or the military placements that surrounded the entire area. But, hey, we all know what a surface-to-air missile looks like, right?

Great stuff Mike, thanks for sharing. I imagine Gonzo had a lot to do with getting you all in there. Good for you guys!

Sounds pretty cool...If I was off that would have been something neat to attend! I'm only from harrisburg so it's not too far of a drive.

Thanx DanA. Actually the activity was organized by someone else, who's also active military, with a little help from me. We put Gonzo out front of the caravan 'cause with his gearin we were only looking to do 50 on the interstate. And he had the best flags. I wish my husband and I could have been there, but we had to work . We are in Richmond, Virginia and the Pentagon is only about 2 hours from us.
