I'd like to come up with an avatar that 'toggles' through three(3) pictures.
a SUNSET, ...an ORANGE, ...and then "SS", ...hence a Sunset-Orange SS.
I can come up with the individual pics, but not sure how to 'create an avatar' to flip through them. (This would be similar to the "cannoli" avatar that someone made for "Joey-Red", but Gino "Bello SS" uses it.)

Thanks in advance for any info...

Moving to General Discussion where one of our Photoshop gurus will see this and hopefully be able to help you out.

First of all, you need a program that will allow you to create an animated .gif. You can use any graphics program to make your frames (make them all the same size) and then insert them one at a time into your .gif animator program. Then you apparently need to store this .gif on the web somewhere so you can reference it from the change avatar portion of the profile editor here. I know this is sketchy, but hopefully informative enough. If you want, I can always do the animation if you want to send the pictures that you want to animate. I just did one and hopefully it will work when I post this message. Remember that a .gif file has to use a limited set of colors. I'm going to try using a .avi file also and see if that works as well.

Okay, as you can see, the picture of the car is kind of grainy. This is because of the limited number of colors available. The .avi format doesn't work, probably only the standard picture formats (.jpg, .bmp, .gif) will work. So you will have to create an animated .gif. If you do a search on the web you should still be able to find a shareware .gif animator program to download. That's what I did the first time I created one and it was pretty easy for a free program. Since then I've gotten a few different programs that allow me to animate a .gif. Your choice, you can do it yourself or send the pictures and I'll animate it and send it back or post it on the web and send the URL.

..Thanks for the information guys. I have web 'space' to store the pics on, ...let me come up with the pics and see where I can get from there. I'll look on the web for the free shareware to create the avatar, ...if I can't come up with (ie. can't figure it out), ...I'll post again.

Thanks,
Kevin
