I Am looking at getting a cat-back system. I wanted to know what everyone thought about different companies. no flowmaster. edlebrock, and slp are in the lead so far with borla in close third.

You really need to hear each system. I've been looking for a year and still haven't made up my mind. Where did you see the edelbrocks? Who sells them?

A tough personal choice. Many of the performance gains are similar. I agree that you have to hear them.
I have the Borla and I really like it.

I like my Borla too.

The GMMG chambered exhaust, IMO is the best sounding exhaust. It has a nice low rimble. Plus you don't see a big muffler under the car. I have added FLP LT Headers to my car, which really magnify the sound.

I'll represent the Loudmouth owners...I love my Loudmouth and it's one of the cheapest exhaust mods you can do aside from just replacing the muffler. Like Dan said, it's a personal choice when it comes to exhausts...try to listen to as many as you can so you can determine what you like best. If money were no object, I'd opt for a custom made true dual exhaust with bullet mufflers...THAT would sound the best to me.

I am curious what everyone payed for their mod, unless it came with the car. as to edlebrock, most auto parts sell them, and will be shipped to your door. if not go to a online parts distributor and they will have it. there you have to pay shipping, where as in a store you dont, but the price is usually higher at the store to offset the shipping. compair before buying and save a few. Where does one get a custom billet exhaust done? I am willing to put the best on to my car.

We have the Loudmouth and love it. As many have said though it is not for everyone. I have noticed over the past year taht most of the people that did not care for it had cars with automatic transmissions. I agree with DaddySS and DanA, you need to find a identical car to yours with each type and hear how it sounds. As far as price was SLP was the lowest. I did the install in the driveway, at night, in the rain, ( just could not wait until the next day to install it.) no problems....Good luck, Keep it safe. Ralph

I found it!!!!! edlebrock has my vote now. I saw a pontiac with it installed. it startled me when he started it up. and when i asked him what it was, he said edlebrock. working around cars most of the week, and then having a 6 cyl, yes 6 cyl, make you jump, that is saying something for that mod.
