I wonder why the guy just did not try to back up? Looks like a driveway where you think he should have been going slow anyway. [Big Grin]

I remember something like that happened on I-5, in Oregon, about 5 or 6 years ago during the floods. A semi rig driver thought he was driving through a puddle at night, but it turned out to be a 50' deep wash-out. Pictures in the newspapers showed only the back end of the 40' trailer sticking out of the hole. Turns out I had driven down that same section of highway the day before.
