I have been amiss, and did not share my new Garage floor pics with the SSOA clan! Here goes - Hey doesn't everybody need a cool garage floor for the better showing off of our fine cars????

Well, I couldn't stand the look of my two SS's sitting on an ugly oil stained (from previous owner) dirty, plain concrete floor.

I wanted to cover the floor some how, but I knew paint wouldn't last (tried it), vinyl tile would lift after getting wet and ceramic was out of the question, so I broke down and bought some lock together plastic tiles called 'Race Deck' made by Snap Lock. I installed black and alloy squares in a checker board pattern. Here is a finished pic. This was taken at night and it is cold outside.

Ya I like! I looked at those for my garage. First, was the price, to do my size garage was over $2000. And I wash the cars in the garage and work with jacks and jack stands alot. But damm it looks good!

Thanks for the replies all, and to the questions:

Cleaning: Hose it off, sweep or mop it.

When wet: Not slippery at all, there is also a flow through version. Which my actually be better.

Jacks: My big wheeled jack rolls around just fine. Creeper rolls along but does get some what stcuk on the pattern (the flow through would be no problem - it is flat) My small wheeld jack did leave a dimple where the wheel just happened to fall between the underside webbing.

Jack Stands: I don't know yet, but I will most likely use a mat between the floor and the legs.

Price: OUCH nearly $4.00 / SF
