I am thinking of putting a snow plow on my truck. It's a 2001 Silverado 1500 regular cab 4X4.
Can anyone give me a ball park of what I should expect to pay?
The other option is buy a quad track 4X4 with a plow. That gets expensive. I would use the quad for riding off road and yardwork as well though, so it's not just for plowing.

I've had 3 different plow trucks. All had Myers blades. Installed by me in the driveway.
I spent aprrox. $2,000 Cdn for mine brand new.

Dan, Put the plow on the truck that way if you still don't have a job you can plow some driveways this winter to pay for the cost of the plow

I am thinking of plowing for some income this winter. It seems that a Fisher regular duty plow will cost me about 3400 bucks. That is a few driveways. Now, is it going to snow this winter?

I had a plow on my previous jeep. It was bit much for a CJ7. Wore it out fast. Cost mr about $2200 (fisher) installed but that was in 1987 so plan for inflation.
My brother put one on his F-250 2 years ago for about $3500 (curtis)no breakage or complaints that i've heard yet

Yea, sheesh, way to early for that. Power outage already too!! I am not ready for winter. Grace will be bugging me to make room for her car in the garage. I have to try and arrange things where I can keep the Z06 and the SS in there AND make room for Grace or else the Z06 will get booted!

Ha ha. So far I haven't fought the battle and just kept my mouth shut. The Z06 and the SS sayed in the garage all of last winter. But Grace insists that this year will be different. I guess I'll have to give the Z06 a good bath soon, make sure it is really clean and park it on the side of the house with a cover on it for the winter.
The SS will stay warm and cozy!! Of course, if I can sell the Z06 it will make things a lot easier!
