I want to get that program that you hook up to a lap top and you plug in to your car and see if there is anything wrong. Also I would need a cheep Lap top that could run just the program. Does any one know where to get these two things?

There is a product that is called Auto Tap that should do what you want. I have it is and it works very well. you cannot change your PCM programming (that is what LS1 Edit is for), but you can read all the sensors and read and reset codes. Here is the Auto tap site.

Yes. Two different things completely. One reads info and the other is for tuning.

Auto Tap info

LS1 Edit info

From http://www.installuniversity.com

"LS1 Edit is software and a cable that allows the average Joe the ability to write to their car's PCM (computer) as many times as they want making whatever changes possible allowed by the software. In short, it rocks."

They have a section dedicated to LS1 Edit and also Auto Tap. From the info there, you should be able to find a lot of good info.
