Pros and cons to polishing up a GMMG cat-back exhaust.........?
Obviously it will take about a half a day to do it but how will it look under the car? Will the polished pipes under neath take away from the overall look of the car?
Opinions are appreciated.
Thanks.

Don't try to make it look like something it's not, that looks out of place to me. So don't polish them to a mirror finish, just clean them up like they were new. After all, it might look good in yellow as a nice contrast to your car but you wouldn't do that because exhaust is not supposed to be yellow - you get the idea.

Ultimately it's your car, ...what YOU like is the right thing to do. I think it would look good polished, but not too polished, ...sort of what DaddySS said.

Go for it! :)Here is a picture of my stock SS exhaust that I polished. Not the best picture but the muffler is like chrome.

I've polished my dual/dual. It's a matter of personal taste (and having the time to keep it polished )

I polished the tips on my GMMG and used steelwool to clean up the rest of the pipes and chambers. It looks clean, but not like chrome.

I'm gonna do it as planned. Thanks for the quick feedback. I always enjoy Daddys no-nonsense advice! Daddy, get your GMMG! By-the-way, a heads up on my search for that real nice workbench stool was a success. Go to Bed, Bath and Beyond to the stool section. They just got in these real nice dark wood mahogany bar stools. They are 24 inches high with the thickest padding I have seen yet and it swivels. The black cushion is secured to the swivel with copper rivits. I nice piece indeed. Hope this helps someone.
